Half Price oysters Buster's Place Covington, Louisiana

The Habitat group met at Buster's Place in Covington after a hard day at work. Busters offers 1/2 price oysters on Thursday. They were/are delicious. In addition to oysters in the half shell, some diners had jambalaya and other delicacies.

Before Busters, some of us who spend time doing 'stuff' rather than volunteer for Habitat met for breakfast at Liz's Where Ya Been (a favorite spot for locals). Liz's menu is mind-boggling and some of the waffle entries huge and delicious looking.

Leah, Margaret, Pat, and I returned to our cottage after breakfast and sauntered through old Mandeville. We stopped at the Good Samaritan Thrift Shop and a shop filled with antiques along with an upscale dress shop. Then, we strolled along the shores of Lake Pontchartrain.

Before oysters at Busters.
Beer and oysters - a great combination

Jambalaya is great at Busters
